Lady Gaga’s new video for “Telephone” featuring Beyonce. This is 9.5 minutes of fun imagery, great music and dancing. There is blatant product placement to remind us that Gaga is playing into the “pop” ideal unashamed. There is a nod to Cher with some fishnet stockings and Taratino inspired themes dribbled throughout the short film.

Current’s “infoMania” showed a great, sarcastic video about the media’s treatment of figure skater, Johnny Weir, as well as his costumes and routines. Current’s segment does a perfect job of pointing out the media treats Johnny Weir differently from his teammates throughout the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. Have a laugh and watch the video.

Beyonce’s “Single Ladies” video was amazing, yes, but Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance” video blew me away. It is exactly what the music video artform is supposed to be and I cannot get enough of the video or the song!

SNL’s Weekend Update takes on Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell through comedy, playing off stereotypes, double entendres and more. Sometimes we all need to step back and have a laugh. A friend of mine told me recently, “You don’t have to be straight to shoot straight.” Comedy or not, pressure Congress and President Obama to repeal the military’s discriminatory policy. It’s our tax dollars, afterall.

Lady Gaga used her celebrity to get press around the National Equality March. She performed at the HRC Event Saturday night and briefly spoke at the rally on the Capitol on Sunday. She attacks Barney Franks comments about the march and more importantly asks President Obama an important question.
